Khairiah Syahabuddin, M.HSc.ESL., M.TESOL., PhD. is a senior lecturer at the Department of English Language Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Ar-Raniry State Islamic University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. She was one of the Australia Endeavour Scholarship awardees for a doctoral program at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia, focusing on bilingual education (2014). She holds two master’s degree; one is from International Islamic University Malaysia of Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, majoring in Human Sciences in ESL (HSc.ESL) in 1999; and the other one is from University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, majoring in Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2007. Among her research interests are English Research in ELT, English Teaching Methodology, Literature in ESL, and English Course Design.
